Sign for Work is proud to announce that from 1 November 2025, we will be delivering the Australian Government’s new Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program.
This new program will replace the existing Disability Employment Services (DES) model and represents a major step forward in creating genuinely inclusive employment pathways for people with disability.
Putting People First
Inclusive Employment Australia has been designed to provide flexible and personalised support for people with disability. It recognises that no two job seekers are the same.
For Sign for Work, this means continuing our specialist focus on deaf and hard of hearing job seekers. We will work alongside participants to understand their skills, strengths and goals, and help them prepare for, find, and keep meaningful employment.
Our teams are fluent in Auslan and committed to accessibility at every stage, from the first conversation to on-the-job support.
Reaching More People Than Ever Before
From November, Sign for Work will deliver IEA from 19 locations across Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia. This expanded footprint means more deaf and hard of hearing Australians will have access to our specialist services, tailored to their communication and workplace needs.
Whether someone is leaving school, re-entering the workforce or ready to take the next step in their career, our team will be there to provide practical advice, support, and connections to inclusive employers.
Building Inclusive Workplaces Together
We know that creating meaningful employment opportunities is about more than placing someone in a role. It is about building workplaces where everyone feels welcome, valued and supported to succeed.
Through Inclusive Employment Australia, we will partner closely with employers to develop strategies, training and adjustments that make inclusion a reality, not just a policy.
A Milestone Moment
This announcement marks an exciting new chapter for Sign for Work. As a proud specialist provider for the deaf and hard of hearing community, we look forward to working with job seekers, employers and communities to ensure the future of work is truly inclusive.
Everyone deserves the chance to thrive at work, and we are here to make that happen.
